By far the largest ocean on Xothu, the Churning Ocean is also the furthest south. It surrounds Zikal completely, and extends as far north as southern Daramus and Asivis. It is most notable for its confusing currents and uniformly terrible weather for which it is named. Sea travel is all but impossible in the open ocean, and it is because of this that Zikal remained a relatively unknown continent to outsiders for a long period of Xothu's history. It is also viciously cold in the southern reaches, and home to a practically undocumented ecosystem of marine life.
