The Clock of Winter is a clock of epic proportions which appears upon the side of the Orbicht Mountains at the dawning of the Winter Solstice, and disappears in the evening before the Vernal Equinox. It is not known when this was first created but evidence found in the ruins of Nherru suggests that the Masters conceived the idea of a clock which would effectively stop time during the Winter and direct the freezing winds to lay waste to the remaining peoples who opposed them.

It appears unlikely that the Masters achieved this goal, since the majority of Xothu is still standing, and they are not. The clock still appears in Winter to this day, giant snow-covered stone hands turning round to give almost perfect time to those who can see it, and vanishes without a trace in the Spring.
