The infamous Bandit-King of Guth, he is definitely a disliked figure. Though he did unify the lands of Guth, he did so by essentially installing his brutal horde of bandits and raiders in power. Though the people of Guth had some peace, they also had corruption and poor international relations to say the least.
Some say that he was a punishment from the gods themselves and their tool - he would unify the people, but teach them that all things had a price. Some, rather radically, consider him a divine embodiment of one of the gods, who took on a darker form.
Dakka definitely had non-human traits - he had a thin cainine like countenance, moved oddly, and was said to shift to a jackal-form. This may be a legend, but as he is a recent historical figure, there is certainly some truth to the manner. Many of his family members are said to have had the same ability.
He was defeated by Sultan Jalarawa the First when he foolishly bet that he and 20 of his closest family members could fight the strange, mechanical beast, or he'd surrender his kingdom. The twenty found that the mechanical beast merely shrugged off their spears and bullets without so much as a dent in His holy armor. Reportedly, they retreated to a heavily fortified mansion that had served as Dakka's armory and treasury, and subsequently fled to a man when Jalarawa ploughed his way through the mansion's walls.
Reportedly, these 'Twenty-one Jackals' retreated to the mountains and took to harassing Talomihn trade caravans for a year or two, before being wiped out by the Talomihn border guard, although sporadic reports emerge from the region of Dakka's continued survival, or perhaps the persistance of his vengeful and monstrous spirit.
In Guth, the remainder of the Jackal's followers quickly fell behind Sultan Jalarawa the First, who was very genereous in victory, offering many of them reduced positions at best, or banishment at worse. Mysteriously, many have retired over the years rather quickly, and a few vanished or had unfortunate accidents. Some assume politics, some assume a curse.
