Large, spindly, vaguely reptillian creatures, with long necks and not-quite-mechanical serpentine bodies covered in metallic scales ranging from black to green to bronze. Their wings and limbs look oddly fragile; their eyes are gigantic and jewel-like and hypnotic. In spite of being very intelligent, they are incapable of speaking human languages, being only capable of vocalizing a sort of warbling, musical roar. Among their own kind, they have developed a sort of sign-language made up of complex, acrobatic dance- a highly modified mating ritual. Some theorise they are in fact capable of learning other languages, they merely consider all other cultures beneath them. They are predators, and can wreak havok on farming communities- devouring livestock (and even sapients), trampling fields with their dances, and demolishing buildings for nesting material. They may be possessed of unusual mental powers, as they seem to be able to enslave the Lesser Dragons and command them to feats beyond their usual mental capacity (shaping out geometrically planned catacombs for example.)
They are among the longest-lived creatures on Xothu. their beauty and longevity leading to associations with nobility and wisdom in many cultures, while their destructive nature has led them to be associated with greed and terror in others.
