By Bone and Bird and Steel shall he rise
The Lord of the Central Plane
Seven shall rob him, and seven shall die
And dieing, bring life to the dead
Nine nations against him, Nine nations shall fall
And he shall rule all he sees
By Bone and Bird and Steel shall he rise
-Inscribed by the One-Eyed Stonemason Ux on the cornerstone of the Cort Moen Cathedral in 1176 A.S.
By Bone and Bird and Steel shall he fall
-Final line of the Prophecy, conveniently covered by mortar during the refurbishing of the cathedral in 1676, because 'Nobody believes in all that prophecy stuff anymore'.
Egutu the Bloody (1988-2057 A.S.) Human* Necromancer. Held the Crystal of fate from 2033 to 2041, after siezing it from a group of adventurers who had, in turn, recovered it from 1-Jade-Nova and the Empire of Intli. Defeated by The Steel Horde of Eternity and allies in 2041 after a brief period of military conquest. Blinded by his Erstwhile ally Queen Scaktha of the Rooks of Bufalos and faced with the destruction of his empire, he converted to Tumbruk and lived out the rest of his life as a wandering monk. His rise and fall marked the end of the Era of Expansion.
- It has been speculated that Egutu had some Orcish ancestry- his name, a corruption of Kutu, the Tumbruk Prophet, is fairly common among orcish Tumbruk-las to this day, and records show that he was descended from immigrants from Lakeiron, near the homeland of the Night-orcs.
- Some believe the degeneration of the Rooks of Bufalos is due to a curse cast by Egutu, which seems odd given his eventual conversion. There is however talk of a strange Shadow that resembles Egutu. Some feel his evil side left him and took on its own form, and that it may live on.
