Planetary System

General information: Xothu is the seventh planet in it's solar system out of fourteen worlds.

The worlds are
1 - Oharam A dead planet where all life has retreated into a honeycomb of underground chambers, leaving only the empty shells of ancient cities
2 - A pair of dual, rocky planets.
3 - Rosdirauh. A world consisting of an immense arcology with no actual planetary surface
4 - Galalag. A world out of phase with normal space-time
5 - Bhatun, the Baleful Eye. A hothouse planet that often is taken as a red star in the sky.
6 - The Mysterious Brother - A planet that seems to be much like Xothu, but on the other side of the sun. Astronomancers have occasionally been able to witness it.
7 - Xothu
8 - Kalakkanal. A strangely mirrorlike world. Astronomancers say they can use its strange, magical qualities to detect activities on Xothu.
9 - The Ninth World is a huge crystal composed of highly ordered minerals that is home to robotic caretakers. They maintain the world until the Ancients return. From it came the founders of The Steel Horde of Eternity.
10 - Seroro- A large gas giant with prominent rings.
11 - Cukami- A jungle-covered planet that is alive in addition to having ecosystems
12 - A world covered in endless, chaotic mists with “islands” of stability
13 - A small world with hourly seasonal changes
14 - A frozen world with large ice caps and tundra-like conditions even in the equatorial regions

Xothu has a single, thin ring in between the third and fourth moons known as the Alemthus (occasionally Alem). It is very thin, and made out of ice particles, curiously it is only recently that denizens of Xothu have become aware of the ring. It is only rarely visible from Xothu, when the sun catches on it occasionally during a particulary bright sunrise or sunset, however for centuries many races believed it to merely be a form of rainbow. It was formed millions of years ago when an enormous ice meteor smashed into the fifth moon of Xothu knocking the moon out of orbit (it eventually drifted into the sun). The meteor shattered, melted, and refroze, the particles spreading themselves out thinly and gradually coming together as they were caught by the gravitational pull of Xothu.

Moons

Nymph
A small moon on an inner orbit around Xothu. Nymph exerts very little pressure upon Xothu and occasionally is caught in Primos's gravity field and heads out of immediate orbit for a while.

Primos
Primos is the Largest moon and second of seven. It has the largest impact on Xothu's tides and weather patterns. the Intli'Zatlu associate it with their chief god, Intli, while the Shadow Lilithians associate it with Althoria

Dirt
Dirt is the second largest moon of Xothu which has a highly irregular orbit. It takes itself so far away from Xothu at times that it is only visible for about a third of the year.

Skull
The curious white patterns on the surface of this dark reddish moon give it it's name. It is very frequently invoked by spells of various orders, and it's orbit keeps it out of the field of view of the other moons for most of it's cycle.

Ghost
Ghost gets eclipsed with such regularity as to have very intermittent visibility, to the degree where it will appear full one night and gone the next, only to reappear almost a month later in a completely different phase.

Knight
Sometimes called Quicksilver, Knight's surface varies from a dusty grey to a stunning silver (which happens twice a year.) When this happens, it becomes almost as bright as Primos at it's full.

Dream
Though furtherest out from Xothu, Dream is the third largest and therefore more visible than it might otherwise be. Dream's surface is a myriad of pale colours, and many romantic plays and songs have been written about it's charming passage through the night sky.
