Airborne machines of Dwarven manufacture, relying on tilted, rigid planes that rotate at decidedly unsafe speeds to propel the Fellcopter in the desired direction. Currently, the Fellcopter genre of aircraft is in its newborn stages, and mock-up models are often crafted from whatever raw materials are at hand - leading to their designation as "Raw Fellcopters". The Dwarves are certain that the near future will see the implementation and usage of "Refined Fellcopters" in their daily life, but currently it is estimated that 97% of Raw Fellcopter tests have led to one or more injuries or deaths - usually the pilot, the ground crew, or the workers in charge of fitting the blades on to the central column.
Research into the possible benefits of not sharpening the Fellcopter's rotor blades is currently underway, although it is met with much criticism from the more fundamental segments of the Dwarven community, who protest that the Dwarven gods themselves decreed that "a blade must always be sharp".
