Worldbuilder Spotlight:

A wild and mountainous continent, rich in mineral wealth. Its north is cold taiga, ruled by the Northern Orcs from their complex, many-spired fortresses, and by the ever-shifting Boggy Empire of the Rats. A desolate mountain range, known to the Shetugou as the Tanshu Mountains, separates this region from the arid scrubland of the south, with countless settlements perched in lofty, isolated valleys. The Land of Sixty Dancing Volcanoes is a branch of this range.

South of the Tanshu Mountains, the Empire of Shetugu thrusts its scarlet ziggurats into the sky, rich from mining its mountain territories and farming its fertile foothills; a dozen-odd smaller nations (including Brath) occupy the plains between Shetugu and the sea.

It is sparsely populated; aside from the Northern Orcs, it is largely Dwarven, with significant native Human and Shadow Lilithian minorities. The Talomihn Empire, The Eight Hundred and Thirty Three Islands, Cort Besche, and even Lakeiron have established colonies on its coasts; they are wild, lawless places, by and large, home to rough men and women, thoroughly resented by the natives and frequently clashing with them.
