Current Emperor of Shetugu, and the ninth in the Tahutshouna Dynasty. Emperor Tahutba is currently 71 years old, and in the fifthy-seventh year of his reign. He was crowned in 2503 AS at a mere 14 years old, following the death of his father Tahutshouna Arnusha at the age of 53, due to a severe lung disease.

Tahutba is by no means an imposing figure, standing at the average height of his people (roughly 5'6") with a figure largely given over to opulence and obesity, but his traditional imperial garb - a red-orange robe with a long train, embroidered with gold and silver thread in classic Shetugou square designs - lends him an air of dignity that he would be unable to achieve otherwise. When appearing in public, he wears his ceremonial Mask of Metal (not yet haunted, of course), with silver designs tailored to his facial features. Though none but his retainers have seen his actual face, the mask sports a prominent nose and chin in silver inlay.

Very few changes have been made during Tahutba's reign - a marked difference from that of his father Arnusha, who made great leaps in securing the ability of his serfs to buy their own independance. Tahutba has stated several times that he sees nothing in his empire that calls for changes to be made, although some of his more important ministers do not entirely agree with this view and are pushing for more military and economic power.

The average reign of a Shetugou Emperor is around 60 years, and with Tahutba's two eldest sons being quarantined as the result of an undisclosed illness it is likely that his youngest, Tahutshouna Bourata, will ascend the throne in their stead. Tahutba has yet to formally announce this, however, since his elder sons, Shutema and Hamouna, are assumed to be still living.
