One of the more powerful nations on the planet at the moment; the Talomihn Empire is a nation of contradictions: smugglers flee to the empire for its liberal tax laws, and are met with a blind eye; and yet it is almost puritannical in certain other respects- alcohol, for instance, and a great deal of magic, is banned, and possession is punished with heavy fines. Their army is very impressive, in spite of relatively few major operations outside their own borders. Also of interest is the recent takeover of the "former sovereign nation of Dargolia" which has caused, for better or worse, a good deal of public upheaval.
Territory
The Talomihn Empire covers a great swath of land in north-central Asivis, with some territory in Russitea and Daramus. They have recently expanded south-west, engulfing the neighbouring nation of Dargolia and by proxy the massive Lake Dargolia as well.
People
The Empire incorporates many peoples; the steriotypical Talominh, though, a native of the capital of Harukmihn, is tall, olive-skinned, muscular, with glossy black or red hair and blue or green eyes.
Technology
Government
The government is something of a democratic monarchy. Though rulers generally come to power through right of inheritence, occasionally if the current ruler dies without an heir or the current ruling family are considered unsuitable by their parliament then a new family of nobles may be elected to take their place. This has caused severe repercussions on occasion in the past when a deposed family rallied a enough support for a rebellion.
Culture
There is a good deal of influence of old Kyrosos in Talomihn, they have spoken Kyrese (colloquially called Kyrosian) as a second language for so many centuries that the language is sometimes even called "Talomish", by uneducated outsiders.
