The Zikal Crystals are seven mysterious crystals which give the owner wonderful and amazing powers. They were formed by the shattering of the Eye of Nherru.

The Crystal of Invocation

Was in the possession of various sorcerers for nearly two thousand years, changing hands frequently, until it came into the possession of the Night Orcs who held it briefly at the start of the Virtuous Age Of Salvation. During a tense conference between Blueskins and their Northern cousins, Southern Orcs decided to join the party and raided Jarm'Kura. The ensuing confusion led to the theft of the crystal by the Southern Orcs, who promptly lost it to pirates from the 833 Islands. It was known to be possessed by various pirate factions for a surprising 200 years, until it was retrieved by bold explorers from Russitea, after which it vanished. Presumed lost, it recently was revealed that the Ice Lilithians had somehow obtained it, and it remains with them.

The Crystal of Decay

Held by the Shadow Lilithians. Most likely one reason for the fear most humans hold for the Shadow Lilithians is because they are rumored to use this Crystal for arcane, bloody rituals, but there has been no evidence supporting this rumor.

The Crystal of Bones

Currently Held by the Seer-Priests of Intli. It is believed to play a role in powering their Stone Totems.

The Crystal of Fate

Was held by the Intli'zatlu's Grand Astronomer until the reign of 1-Jade-Nova. Allowed the predictions of the Intli'zatlu historians and astrologers to achieve unparalleled accuracy, allowing them to study prophesies as easily as historical records. Unfortunately, it also led to technological stagnation as the Intli'zatlu came to regard their predictions as inevitable, and a series of corrupt rulers eventually siezed power, culumnating in the tyrannical and murderous 1-Jade-Nova.
Five years into 1-Jade-Nova's reign, a small band of adventurers from Orath were able to penetrate deep into Iztli'Zatlu territory, aided by an underground resistance network. In a massive confrontation before the Pyramid of Intli, the adventurers were able to defeat 1-Jade-Nova's Toad-Golem. As the Seer-priestesses re-took the pyramid, the Grand Astronomer fled with the crystal. The adventurers were able to capture him, and fled with the Crystal back to their homeland, where it fell into the hands of the Necromancer Egutu the Bloody. After a complicated series of events involving the complete re-structuring of Intli'Zatlu society, a massive war with Egutu on Orath, and the dispatching of several Stone Totems to hunt down the Crystal (one of the few direct Intli'Zatlu contributions to foreign wars), the crystal was claimed by Queen Scaktha of the Rooks of Bufalos; it remains in the Rooks' possession to this day.

The Crystal of Mind

This crystal was briefly in the possession of the Seer, Ramus the One. Though it was lost to the depths during the fateful voyage in which The Lady of Stars and Wind, last of the Grand Dirigibles was destroyed. Curiously, Ramus knew that this would happen, though he chose to let events play out as he had foreseen them. Ramus survived the voyage, and after a lifetime of accurate predictions and sage guidance (no doubt his sight had been boosted by his brief time with the crystal) on his deathbed he scribed directions to the final resting place of the crystal in his memoirs. An expedition of Intli Astronomancers and Night Orc scholars attempted to retrieve it some years later, but evidently someone beat them to it as it was never recovered. It's current whereabouts are unknown.

The Crystal of Worlds

Currently held by the Sun Lilithians

The Crystal of Might

Is rumored to power the The Mobile Kingdom of Kaluang Clah, but experts on such things agree that that's not NEARLY enough to do it. However, it may still be in the Palace of Storms.
