In the distant past, centuries prior to the Bloodstained Aeon, Yiggai was a proud kingdom residing on the steppes of northwestern Orath. Leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of Xothu, the haughtily regarded themselves capable of changing the course of nature itself. Striking south into the Sun Comos, they planned an intricate network of irrigation. Stone aqueducts were constructed, intended to draw water from the glaciers down to the Sun Comos. The initial plans met with failure, as the cold temperatures and ice caused damage to the "stone pipes" before they even reached the desert. The second attempt failed as well, water simply seemed to vanish as it hit the sands.
Political unrest as the common folk grew increasingly angry with the upper class's obssession with conquering the desert stalled the project, but by the time the peasantry were subdued, their own water supply dwindled as Yiggai was struck by a fierce drought. Before Yiggai was able to even barely recover, the Children of Blood arrived and isolated them from access to their own irrigation system. As the Bloodstained Aeon hit, weakened Yiggai were pushed into the desert so that Nherru might have a foothold in Orath on the (somewhat) more fertile steppes.
Rumours state that the people of Yiggai turned to cannibalism to survive, but died out within a few years. Other rumours suggest that the last few of Yiggai's magi were responsible for inflicting a terrible curse on their own people in a horrendous attempt to enable them to survive.
