The Yumecs were a people who lived in the Sun Comos on Orath thousands of years before the kingdom of Yiggai began their ill fated attempts at irrigation of the desert. They worshipped the sun in the form of many deities, and their livelihood was granted them by The Sunstone which was once kept in the middle of the desert in a structure called the Sunspire. It is clear that the Sunstone was at some point removed from the Sunspire, after which it seems their society collapsed and their people died out. The unforgiving desert has left behind no trace of them, and subsequent human habitation over the millennia has eroded any stonework that may otherwise have survived.
Most of what little is known about the Yumecs comes from primitive cave paintings excavated from the bases of glaciers bordering the Centruvian Ice Sheet, some of which clearly depict the Sunspire and the Sunstone at it's peak. There is some speculation as to the age of these paintings. While it is common consensus that human civilisation, and civilisation in general, first blossomed in the Advancing Time of Colonisation, most of the caves in question have been excavated or revealed by receding glaciers in the last thousand years, and it is common consensus that most of that region was under ice as long as 10,000 years ago. Which suggests that the Yumecs, and whoever the primitive cave people were, may have been around well in advance of recorded history.
